Finally! Today my Galfer brake line arrived! I got a screaming deal from Kneedraggers.com. I ordered a stainless steel rear line and some Galfer brake pads all for just over $57! That included shipping and whatever taxes they could throw at me. Their communication was excellent! They corresponded by email, although I had to check my spam box to find their emails (not their fault).
There was a hicup in the order, where they didn't have the pads in stock, so they emailed me saying that I could either get separate deliveries (with an additional charge for shipping) and get the brake line faster, or I could wait for them to get the pads from Galfer, but it would take an extra ten days of waiting. Heck! I'm not going to do this for a couple of months, so I could wait a really long time, if I had to, just as long as I got that awesome price!
Anyway, UPS just dropped off the package and everything looks great! Here's the link for their Galfer specials. They're all out of the SV650 stuff, but if you've got another bike, you might be able to make a killing yourself!

A collection of blurbs stemming from mostly the motorized projects that I do. Some posts mixed in have to do with my experiences in X-ray school. (Some entries are from older blogs that I killed off.) Some of my toys are a Mazdaspeed Miata that I work on and take to the track, a little Harley that I can't stop modding and an old Yamaha RD400 that I've been collecting parts for over the past 15 years. When I'm not wrenching, sometimes I mountain bike, sometimes I snowboard, sometimes I make beer.

I've arrived!
Just got back from South Tahoe, after a very uneventful day of snowboarding, at Alpine Meadows, in the rain, but was really a poor excuse for snow. After a couple of hours, my toes were squishing in my boots, so we called it a day. The $49 dollar lift ticket, you ask? Fagettaboutit!
